New yarns are coming out everyday. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it sure seems like it. And I want them all! If I buy new yarn, I can blog about it, thereby justifying the purchase. If I buy the same old yarn without a project in mind, I can’t justify that. Thank you… Continue reading A Zig-Zag Here, a Border There
I posed the question on my Facebook page, “To border or not to border?” I was thinking definitely not. This pattern makes very straight edges on the sides and bottom. It can easily go without, BUT I listened to those who answered, “Absolutely.” (Mom and Mom-in-law, I’m looking at you two!) So, here are two… Continue reading Bordering the Blocks: Alphabet Blocks Crochet Along
Did I get your attention with that title? I tried to be all creative and pun-ny, but school’s back in session, and my brain is a little fried. Life as a homeschooling mom is interesting. I sometimes wonder what happens when other people’s kids go off to school. Do they have more time to themselves?… Continue reading You Alpha-bet It’s Time for Part 3–Alphabet Blocks CAL

Thanks for joining me on this yarn journey! We’re going to jump right in and… Continue reading Fruit Salad CAL – Part 1: Oranges and Limes
The Fruit Salad Blanket CAL begins tomorrow, and I can’t wait to share the first two squares with you! We will be making LOTS of squares. I apologize for that, but we will put them together in a fun crochet stitch, so there won’t be lots of sewing to do. I had hoped to do… Continue reading Fruit Salad CAL – Pick Your Size
I found the perfect headband pattern. It’s called the Genius Headband (found here), and I believe it is just that. The stretchiness takes the guesswork out of sizing. It’s amazing. A small ball of yarn and 45 minutes later, I’m in love. I’ll definitely be making this again.
Introducing the Diagonal Bobbles Blanket. If you’ve been following my Facebook page, you’ve inevitably seen this blanket in process. It popped up every once in a while after I spent an evening working on it. The pattern worked up exactly as I envisioned it. Rows of gentle diagonals create a subtle design and fantastic texture.… Continue reading Diagonal Bobbles Blanket – Free Pattern
