When a friend asks you to make something for them, you say, “OK.”
When they pay you to make something, there’s pressure to do it just right.
A friend asked me to make her some pot scrubbers, but I couldn’t just do that. I needed to make her a dishcloth too.
I was happy enough with the results, that I decided to write them up. So here they are: the Ridged Dishcloth and Pot Scrubber.
The dishcloth is flexible in 100% cotton yarn. I used Lily Sugar N Cream in Ahoy Ombré. The pot scrubber is a combination of cotton yarn and Red Heart Scrubby Cotton. This cloth has some oomph. It is more rigid, but is still flexible. I included a hanging loop for easy drying. Both cloths can be used then thrown in the washing machine. As with any kitchen cloth, you should avoid using fabric softener in order to maintain the absorbency of the cloth.
