I love a good corner-to-corner blanket when I’m using one color of yarn. It is an easy pattern and makes weaving in the ends so easy.
But I also love a good graphgan, and the corner-to-corner blanket is the perfect vehicle.
I hate weaving in ends. It’s no secret. I’ve talked about it before, but before I started my latest Spring Blossoms blanket, I looked up a video that halved the ends I had to weave in. This video has you CROCHET IN the ends when you join a new color. It’s pretty helpful. The only tip I have is to make sure you clip then ends you crocheted in right away so you know which ones truly need to be woven in.
This new tip helped me immensely with the Spring Iris Blanket.
It is the third in the Spring Blossoms series. The deep purple of this yarn (Stylecraft Special DK in Emperor) screams iris to me. It turned out exactly as I imagined.
I threw in a bud on the side.
I had irises at my last house, and sometimes when we walk past, we can still see them blooming. I also had Dutch iris, which are tiny and delicate, but beautiful. None of them made the move, but someday I may plant them here.
This pattern is available for sale here. Check it out. Check out the Spring Daffodil and Spring Tulip Blankets as well.
The fourth and final Spring Blossoms blanket will be coming soon. It is something I have planted in my garden and I wait for every year: peonies!
