I have been working hard on a new pattern based on the Alphabet Blocks pattern (Personalized Baby Blocks Blanket, which will come out early next week). This has caused me to take another look at the Alphabet Blocks Baby Blanket pattern. In the initial pattern, the blocks in the first strip were written with backward instructions. When I decided to mix up the letters for a personlized blanket, that wouldn’t work any more.

To make a long story short, I ended up making another Alphabet Blocks blanket to work out the kinks. This time I used Lion Brand Mandala in Wood Nymph with border number 2. I love this color way. It’s going to make a little girl somewhere very happy.

I also used this blanket to make a video on my special joining process using the Connecting Double Crochet.
