I have a little friend named George. He’s adorable. He’s sweet. He’s loud. He’s 18 months old.

George will always be Curious George–the moniker of a curious, mischievous monkey. At least his mom told me that he would always be Curious George…for Halloween.

She needed a hat. So, I searched Ravelry for the perfect one. I used a pattern from The Friendly Red Fox called The Friendly Monkey Hat. The instructions were clear and I think the hat came out well.

I was a little concerned that I was going to end up with a sloth. So, I’ve made a discovery: if you leave the ears off the monkey hat, you’ll get a sloth.

It’s an adorable hat. I hope it fits when the real George comes to get it. In the meantime, my continually moving little guy modeled it for me.
