I’ve been working diligently on the pattern for the Alphabet Blocks crochet along. I’ve even been making it twice to check the pattern! I’ve managed to finish the portion for the first week, which will start on August 14.
I do believe that you can use any yarn for this project, but the guage will decide how square your blocks are.
My first version is made using Herrschners Teddy Bear Baby Yarn. It is currently on sale for $1.99 a skein. I think one skein each of six different colors will be enough, though you might want to pick up a second skein of one color for a border if you choose to do one.
The next version is done using Lion Brand Mandala yarn. This is made in strips allowing the color to change on its own. I think it will have a nice effect as well. Three skeins of this should be plenty.
Which color will you pick up?
I would like to be part of the Alphabet CAL blanket.
