It goes so nicely with the yellow center that it looks just like a spring flower. That leaves only one color left in my arsenal that I haven’t used. Here’s a reminder of my gauge. My last skein is dark red and reserved for only the highest temperatures we get over here in Western Pennsylvania.
Overall, this has been a really cool project and an awesome visual of the weather. The blanket it getting to be a decent size. Here’s a picture of almost the whole thing. It has been very fun to see the colors changing.
In April, we finally started to get a little warmer, but there was still snow. Do you see that right at the end of the month? We had snow on April 29. You would think that with all of the cold weather we would slowly move through the yellows. The upper 60s and 70s are my perfect temperature, but we’ve mostly skipped over those yellows.
There was a lot of rain in May, but also a lot of higher temperatures. The darker orange starts at 83 degrees and there’s a lot of that on there.
I wonder if the green will begin to phase out in the next few weeks. Right now, we’re running the air conditioning, playing in the kiddie pool, and enjoying a nice breeze when it blows.
