Scarves are awesome to crochet because you can often make one in just a couple of hours and use a single skein. It’s a lot of bang for your buck, and you get the satisfaction of seeing a finished product.
There’s a lot going on in my life this week. I’m throwing an impromptu bridal shower for a friend who is getting married Saturday. There is no way my house will ever be clean enough for an event like this, but hopefully people can look past the grime and see the beauty in what we are celebrating.
So, I felt compelled to finish the next scarf tonight–the calm before the I’m-so-busy-I-have-no-time-to-crochet.
Here it is: The Gratitude Scarf.
This is another pattern from Crochet One-Skein Wonders, which I have been working through. It is project 13/101. This scarf is great. It’s worked from the middle out, so that the ends are both scalloped.
I used on full skein of Lion Brand Scarfie yarn, which I fell in love with last year. It’s soft and plush–perfect for warming a neck. I particularly love it’s ombre-ness. It creates beautiful color changes without having to change the yarn.
I got lots of oo’s and ah’s when I pulled this out during the kids’ swimming class. It’ll be hard to part with this one.
