This summer, a friend asked if I could make her daughter a mermaid blanket. I’ve always wanted to make one, so of course I said yes. I found the
pattern at MJ’s Off the Hook designs. The pattern was very thorough. She includes a very realistic estimate of yarn quantity and time.

Using two strands thick yarn, it really was a relatively quick project. Plus, it’s super heavy. You’re not going to be cold in this thing.

This is the adult size pattern with a little bit of length added.

But my daughter is quite comfortable in it, too. This is definitely a pattern I’ll be making again.
