Yarn subscription services bring me a lot of joy. This months yarn of the month from Darn Good Yarn was reclaimed chiffon ribbon. The label calls it “fair trade reclaimed chiffon waste ribbon that employs women in India.”
I love getting to use new yarn that I might not pick out otherwise. I even learned from the last time and used a chair to wind the hank into a ball. It took less than 5 minutes!
This month’s yarn came with a pattern for either an arm knit scarf or a Seaside Essentials Beach Purse, but I wasn’t feeling either of those. So, I made up my own pattern: Chiffon Trivets.
I have no idea if chiffon will melt under a hot pan, so that’s my disclaimer.
