Ok. True story. I had read on a blog that Lion Brand Mandala yarn was rare and hard to come by. I was taking my routine walk through the yarn aisle and there it was. I didn’t need it. I didn’t have a plan for it. But it was rare, so I had to have it.

I have a baby shower coming up for a friend. She’s having a girl. Done.

So began the dragonfly blanket. The pattern is easy to follow, and the result is beautiful.

I think this is one of my new favorites. The yarn is lightweight and drapes nicely. It ended up a little larger than I planned, but I really like it. I hope the mom-to-be does too.
