My 11th project in my Crochet One Skein  Wonders  project is the Golden Ray of Sunshine Trivet. It starts as two separate pieces which are then crocheted together.

Using thread for something like a trivet is new to me. I’m still not sure how I feel about it. At the doubled thickness it would definitely absorb heat. When I joined my motifs, they did not line up completely leaving it a little messy looking.

Overall, I liked it and the techniques will help with other projects in the future, but I don’t know that I would make this one again.
