When flipping through the August 2017 issue of Crochet World, I cam across this doily pattern. I had some peach thread sitting next to the couch (waiting for a One-Skein Wonder pattern). So off I went.
Crocheting with thread can be a little bit intimidating. I mean, look how tiny that hook is! But don’t be fooled, it’s just the same as crocheting something big. You do have to work a little harder to keep the stitches even as mistakes are very visible.
Blocking is also absolutely necessary. It makes it lay flat and keep it’s shape. I think I ended up with a pretty good circle, but using a template would be a good idea.
I am happy with my mostly round finished product. If only I had a place to put it.
