Here is a conversation that transpired between my daughter and I the other day.
K: Mom, why do you buy more yarn when you have yarn in the guest room and in the school room and in the closet?
Me: Sometimes I need different yarn for different projects.
K: Why don’t you just use the yarn you have?
Me: Because sometimes I need different yarn.
K: I don’t get it.
Well, she kind of has a point. I have TONS of yarn sitting around, so I came up with a solution.
I’m going to crochet through a book and use up my yarn. This book contains a little of everything: kitchen wares, clothing, hats, toys, jewelry.
My original plan was to crochet everything in the book from start to finish, but let’s be honest, I’m not making a yoga mat carrying case. And those fully beaded bracelets look a little daunting.
So, I might not make absolutely everything, but I will try to get out of my comfort zone. I’m excited about where this will take me. I might find my new calling as a tea cozy queen or crochet earring crafter.
